'The President is merely the most important among a large number of public servants. He should be supported or opposed exactly to the degree which is warranted by his good conduct or bad conduct, his efficiency or inefficiency in rendering loyal, able, and disinterested service to the Nation as a whole. Therefore it is absolutely necessary that there should be full liberty to tell the truth about his acts, and this means that it is exactly necessary to blame him when he does wrong as to praise him when he does right. Any other attitude in an American citizen is both base and servile. To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else. — Theodore Roosevelt, The Kansas City Star, 18 May 1918
Sorry, busy. Working on my posters for the Women's March NYC tomorrow and making phone calls to my MoCs 🇺🇸
Watch it later. Leave your tv on pbs instead and give public access tv the ratings instead.
Getting my nails done and a movie. Better things to do than to normalize a con man
No thank you, I have signs to make for the March tomorrow.
Do not watch! Do not normalize! Do not consent! Get out in the streets! #BoycottTheInauguration #BoycottTrump
It's a temporary job and we, the people, are his boss. He needs to remember that.
This is a very sad day for America
The inaugural address by Mr. Trump was "dark and militant." His "America First" message was divisive, neo-nationalist, anti-freedom of religion (not all Americans are Christian), with overt racist undertones. Please do your best to reign in Mr. Trump before he alienates the rest of the world and terrifies most Americans.
No thanks! I'm not gonna watch a ConMan be inaugurated!! Not my president!! EVER!!!!!!!!
Dear Representatives, I strongly urge you to insist that the following continue to receive funding: National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting; the Department of Justice’s Legal Services Corporation and Violence Against Women Grants; funding for the Paris Climate Change Agreement and the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change; and the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Office of Electricity, and Office of Fossil Energy. Thanks.
"It's the end of the world as we know it"
I don't support him. He's rude, has few/no morals and refuses to release his tax returns. Global isn't a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese; it's a real problem. Education and healthcare are core human rights and not privileges.
i, too, am boycotting coverage of the inauguration and am making signs for the march tomorrow. it's a mega-self-care-day today!
I oppose this person, I refuse to use his name, but he will never be my president. I oppose everything he stands for! And I hope you will too!
I did not watch Trump's inauguration. I'm way more interested in the Women's March on Washington. Our rights are not up for grabs!
I'd rather be poked in the eye with a sharp stick😡😡
Please do everything in your power to resist this President, his administration and the Republican Congress!
