President Trump Must Condemn Attacks on LGBTQ People in Chechnya

33 signed. Let's get to 100!

by GLAAD | 1.15.19

Disturbing news reports from around the globe indicate that once again, LGBTQ people in Chechnya are being attacked – and even murdered – simply for who they are.

Meanwhile, President Trump has refused to condemn these horrific attacks and use America’s voice to bring awareness and pressure to stop the violence and death. Trump’s press secretary even suggested that the president may not be “aware” of the humanitarian crisis altogether.

This dangerous and deadly situation must stop. Call on President Trump to condemn the attacks in Chechnya today by signing this petition.

Why should I post anything to do with President Trump. When I love in NJ 08251 and have just moved here and no one will help me, my life has been threatened 2 times and the cops where called and yet these people are fu*Ken around with me, I don't know anyone around here but I'm afraid to leave my apartment, they have turned off my water but I have no one to help me I went to GLAAD website and I cannot find anyone to help me, all they are concerned with are donations, which leaves me with my life in my hands unless I give a donation and I cannot afford to pay them! Can anyone help me?

It's important to let the world know that we are aware of such wrongs, and that we care. Though why we'd count on tRump to deliver this message is beyond me. Surely there's a more effective messenger, one who actually cares about others.
