Trump Nominee Confirmation Calendar

Republicans control a majority of Senate seats, but they don't have a big enough margin to sustain many defections during confirmation votes in committee or on the Senate floor if Democrats uniformly oppose a nomination. A simple majority is all that's required to advance non-Supreme Court nominations in both committee and in the full Senate, so there could be some razor thin margins and it's possible that Vice President-elect Pence could be called upon to break a tie.

We'll keep this page updated with results of confirmation votes, newly scheduled hearings, and with nominee profiles as they become available. Here are the currently scheduled hearings in chronological order:

Attorney General

  • Nominee: Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL)
  • Hearings: Tuesday 1/10 and Wednesday 10/11 in the Judiciary Committee.
