The Senate convenes Monday, when it will vote to confirm a district court judge and begin debate on the nomination of a circuit court judge, both for the District of Columbia, but later in the week it’s expected that the Senate will vote on its version of GOP tax reform legislation.
The House begins its work week on Tuesday, when it will consider a bill to remove offensive racial terms from certain federal regulations along with five other uncontroversial bills under a fast-track process known as suspension of the rules. Wednesday will bring votes to require all members and employees of the House of Representatives to undergo workplace harassment training, and a bill related to mineral rights in a national forest located in Minnesota. Thursday’s agenda will feature bills related to reauthorize the EPA’s "Brownfields" program which redevelops abandoned or under-utilized industrial facilities, and a bill modifying probationary period for federal civil service employees. The week concludes Friday with a vote on a bill tor revise CFPB rules related to financing for manufactured housing.
