Usually get a standard mass email. It's better than nothing.
I get form letter emails. They never address my actual comments or show any evidence that they’ve heard my concerns. CA politicians suck.
It’s usually just a generic message back. Very generic, especially
If you can call generic form letters written by staffers, and which often have nothing to do with the reason I contacted them a “response,” then yes.
You must be kidding. I'm from Texas, I hear NOTHING from my representatives. If you want to call them that since they represent no one but themselves and the Republican Party. They refuse to hold town meetings and simply ignore us.
I get emails back. No one calls me, so they're putting in the same amount of effort that I am. It's fair.
The standard message is NOT good enough. Our representatives were asked very pointed questions about healthcare when the debate began and have been decidedly unreachable since. They send out their auto reply form letter that says exactly what makes me want to vote for the other candidate in the next election, no matter who it is. It NEVER answers ANY of my questions about how protections for the poor and people with chronic conditions will remain. It only says things like tax cut blah blah blah this and cut costs that. That just says they don't care.
I make a point of talking to my senators and congressmen staff 2-Times a week. I live in Indiana. And I want to apologize for giving you Mike Pence. It’s not bad enough the damage he done to our state. Now he’s get to do damage to the hole country. Sorry America
I get the same generic email in response to my emails from Rep. Roskam. He also has occasional Phone town hall meetings that I cannot participate in due to work commitments. He has not held any in person town hall meetings despite my requests. My Senators, Durbin and Duckworth, both send responses in regard to the messages I send them.
I hear from my Senators and Representative nearly every week with responses to the issues I have raised. Senator Markey's email letters are very detailed specific to the bills at hand, with a history of what he has done in support of or against the bills. Senator Warren's email responses are also detailed with her position on the matter and documents the actions she has taken relative to the legislation. In addition to email responses, I also occasionally receive a written letter in the mail from Representative Joseph Kennedy. This week I got a letter from him concerning FEMA's response in Puerto Rico. I have to say that the Massachusetts delegation is committed, informed and very responsive. They sponsor many worthwhile bills. I am sure they are very frustrated by how their efforts are thwarted by the ruling party members. I have heard them speak in person and they repeatedly welcome correspondence because it helps them to know they have the support of their constituencies.
My reps, & all members of the government, including the president, reply with a standard response. It starts with BS and ends with BS. I think COLLECTIVELY we can make our voices heard but I’m not convinced a single email makes any difference at all.
I have two GOP Senators, Burr and Tillis. Thom T, continues to answer all my letters. However, Richard B., has not answered any of my letters in months. Of course they don't seem to read my letter, because both answer with the party line and never address my concerns or how I urge them to vote
If you're referring to the same generic email that everyone else does, then yes I've "heard from my reps"
I have actually been writing letters and making phone calls. I get an immediate email response that is always exactly the same. It usually says, "Thank you for visiting my website....." I don't visit their websites. Also, there have been no town hall meetings and I really don't have any confidence that my opinions are considered, much less that my opinions influence how my Idaho members of Congress vote. Evidently the only person that influences how they vote is Donald Trump.
Yes! It's usually a very delayed response but I do hear back.
Lots of email with nothing to say- just “thank you for contacting me” and “I too share your concerns.” My interpretation is blah, blah and more blah. But then, my representatives are from Commiefornia.
Here in Oklahoma, I get form email responses. My representative makes statements about being “commissioned by God” and my senator signs all his “in god we trust.” The other senator just doesn’t respond. Bible Belt bullshit...
No ,its not election time yet
Haven't heard from Senator Ernst in a very long time.
I get generic e-mails from Senator Grassley. The occasionally address the issue, but not always. I suspect it’s just a form letter from staff. Ernst and Young staff have pretty much given up.
