The Taxpayer Action Center was created by a group of millionaires - Patriotic Millionaires - who think our citizens deserve to have a tax code that does what it’s supposed to do - pays for what we need and shares those costs fairly. Like most decent Americans, we want a tax code that will build the middle class, create good jobs, grow the economy, reward productive citizens and companies, and invest in our future. But not every millionaire wants that kind of tax code.
Many of those *other millionaires* want to live in a country with a tiny number of rich people, millions of poor people and no middle class. Unlike *those* millionaires, we don’t want to expense our private jets, pretend to be an Irish company to avoid taxes, or hide our money in a Swiss bank account. And we sure as hell don’t want to pay lower tax rates than the people who work for us. And it’s not because we are nice or good or altruistic, by the way. We are just as greedy as those *other* millionaires, we’re just greedy for a different kind of country than they are.
We want to live in a country where hard work is rewarded. Where good businesses thrive. Where people feel safe in their neighborhoods. Where parents can see a clear path to a bright future for their kids. We want to live in a country that has a basic sense of fairness, and where millionaires don’t get special treatment just because they’re rich. Those *other* millionaires? They *want* special treatment. They think they *deserve* special treatment. They puff up their chests, call themselves “Job Creators” and insist the economy will collapse if (god forbid!) they are asked to pay a single penny more in taxes.
Millionaires put their pants on one leg at a time, just like everyone else. Consumer demand is the only real “job creator”. And nothing is going to collapse if millionaires pay their fair share (except for possibly an over-inflated ego or two). So here’s how it works.
Each box you see in the Taxpayer Action Center is a tool. Some boxes explain specific pieces of tax policy, others highlight citizen organizations or groups that are working together to make our tax code fair for everyone. In the policy boxes, we’ll give you a short overview of the Patriotic Millionaires perspective and provide the best resources from top experts so you can learn more. When you know what you need to know, click the Take Action button to be connected directly to your lawmaker. Send an email, make a call, you can even send a video message. And then you can share everything you did with your friends and family, encouraging them to take action too with just the click of a button. If you click on a citizen box, you will find ways to connect with other people and great organizations to bring this important fight to your community. #
**Because you know when millionaires get a tax cut, the middle class pays.**

We don't need a tax break anymore than we need to spend 80 billion more on the largest military in the world. We need to build more schools hire and educate more of our future. In ten years or less the trucking industry alone will turn autonomous. That could mean as many as 8 million more people on the streets. We don't need to give the top 1% a pay raise. when the working class can't get a pay raise.
This tax "cut" will cut my revenue and put me out of business. I own a small car wash that caters to lower middle class workers with big dreams. When you cut my taxes, you hike their's, and they decide to drive dirty cars. Reduced Revenue - Fixed Overhead = Bankrupt! Jim Saginaw Car Wash Saginaw, Texas
I have no desire for my grandchildren to return to the good old days when only a few had any money and there were no health care benefits, schools were for the wealthy, and the class system was alive and well . . . in short, I don't like the way this country is headed, where the wealthy are considered to be supreme beings . . . and, not only that, we need a health care system that works for all of us . . .
Are you for real? Will you really help the middle class by spending your millions to resist tRump and the greedy corporate class? Why don't you have your money parked offshore? How can we show that tRump and Corporate America are nationalistic EXCEPT when it comes to their $$$.
Jersey already subsidizes taxes for the country I understand this is predicated on self interest but I don't see the poor and middle class in other states benefiting a whole lot either I so hope this doesn't pass but the market flew today think they must know something guess taxes are small potatoes compared to a nuclear war which is becoming more imminent
