Then we should do REAL investigations, not mere background checks and then claim someone is innocent...
There’s often no proof of sexual assault other than a traumatized persons word. We believe victims of priests who speak out 35 years later. Why do we not believe women?
How could you disagree? If we are going to ruin someone’s life with sexual assault allegations, shouldn’t there be proof? That shouldn’t be partisan. Conservatives and Liberals should both agree on this.
So have real investigations. By forcing that rapist onto the Supreme Court without an investigation tells many of us that the Repugnants believe he did it and they had to move fast to get their way. An innocent man would DEMAND a real, thorough investigation in order to show they are innocent. They know he is guilty, he knows he is guilty, but they do not care what the people think. This is not representative government. This is tyranny at the hands of the Repugnants and their masters.
👍🏻👍🏻 OUR First Lady Is Absolutely Correct 👍🏻👍🏻 I’m in support of her comment this “She supports the women, and they need to be heard. ... But we need to show the evidence. You cannot just say to somebody, 'I was sexually assaulted' or 'You did that to me.' Because sometimes the media goes too far. And the way they portray some stories, it's not correct. It's not right." I’d only like to add that BOTH the ACCUSER and the ACCUSED “MUST BE HEARD” & treated “RESPECTABLY”. 10*10*18 ...... SneakyPete ..... .
There is plenty against her husband. Lock him up!
It is only rape/assault if done in public? With evidence? They stone women in some countries for being raped without evidence. They say the women are promiscuous or committing adultery. Evidence? These crimes are committed away from the light and witnesses.
From her answer, Mrs. #45 is towing the line set forth by #45. #45’s outlandish comment on Mrs. #45’s trip, “a tremendous job representing our country in Africa - like no one has before”, is just one more to throw onto the pile of verbal junk. Mrs. #45 didn’t undertake preliminary work for AIDS education, adoption programs, investing in strengthening women in Africa, to name a few of the programs other First Ladies began during their initial African visit and continue to support. Mrs. #45 has wanted the press not to focus on her attire. You can’t show up in an “I really don’t care do u” jacket to visit babies separated from their parents because of your hubby’s ‘Zero Tolerance’ program and not be questioned by such a callous choice. The same holds true in Africa, when you CHOOSE to wear a white helmet worn in colonial times by oppressors to the African nation, lands and wildlife.
First you need to have a fare and equal investigation in order to show evidence. But when that is determined by men, men who have been accused themselves. Then I’m afraid we are a long way away from fare and equal treatment. But we all know that. Women don’t get paid the same as men. Their not believed like men. Hell they don’t even have control over their own bodies. Women have very little if any representation in government. so I’m afraid we’re still a ways off but for a woman married to a man who has admitted sexual assault on tape. She sure has a lot of nerve.
Attempted rape & rape are done so there are no witnesses. It becomes a the attackers word vs the victims word. When there is evidence it is often ignored. Only full investigation will get the real story.
When I was raped in my home by a man of position and title (my employer had arranged it because I had a new baby), I tried to report it. I was literally laughed at by my employer (who I called first) who said “he is a hood looking man with money, position and a title who could have anyone he wanted! Why would he rape you?” And there was my answer. I shut my mouth and live with it to this day. That was 30 years ago. (Unbelievably the guy showed back up to my house two weeks later, thinking we could “have another go.” In his mind, nailing me on the stairs while I was running away from him and me crying seemed like something he wanted to repeat?!?) after 30 years, there won’t be evidence.
All of these people saying “believe the woman”. Would you feel the same way if it was a black man? A black Democrat? Keith Ellison? How about Bill Clinton?
I cannot show evidence of a sexual assault until someone takes my statement seriously enough to do a fair and impartial investigation. When my statement is dismissed from the get go because a. That would be embarrassing for the whole family, What would the neighbors think? As a child or b. Well you know you had a beer and that is a defense contractor’s son who do you think is going to believe you? As an adult, there is no chance of getting that impartial investigation. There is no chance of getting to the evidence. Melania can kiss my ass at this point. I’m not accusing anyone that didn’t hurt me. They know what they did. They were just taught it was ok to do it. May they have daughters to console.
Of course we need to show evidence. That is the basis of America’s legal system. Innocent until PROVEN guilty.
We are a country of laws and innocent until proven guilty is the bedrock of our judicial system. Accusations without evidence are not proof that something happened nor should they be considered the truth. The leftists mobs are nearly out of control in America and their violence increases daily with the outspoken support of democrat leadership.
We are a country founded on the presumption of innocence. It is dangerous to assume guilt with allegations alone. We learned from the Salem witch trials to McCarthyism there is no other way.
Sexual assault is terribly difficult for the victim to report. The first question we ask is, what will people think of me (the victim). I do not think there is a high percentage of false accusations. Men try to imagine that a woman is going to ruin my reputation with a false story. Is it a hard time to be a man? It’s always been a hard time being a woman. I believe the victim.
What else would the wife of a sexual predator say? He believes women are personal toys for men, and they are free to do whatever they want whenever they want with no consequences even if it occurs in the middle of 5th avenue with 100s of people as witnesses. His use of a national intelligence agency as his personal private detectives giving them instruction on what they could investigate and to whom they could talk is disgusting and screams "I am the MAN! I say what is appropriate for everything! I have no responsibility for any of my actions! I am a free white male!". And so do his sycophants in Congress. Any man who believes it is okay to lust after his own daughter and encourage other men to lust after her also is despicable. I would not be surprised if the male sycophants in Congress would turn over their wives to him believing that their support would enrich them. Disgusting man. Disgusting political party. Disgusting supreme court justice.
