What to Watch

What Everyone Is Watching
  • The Korean Peninsula. Yesterday, Defense Secretary James Mattis warned that any threat against the U.S. or its allies by North Korea would be met with a "massive military response." Mattis made the remarks after meeting with President Trump, VP Mike Pence and top national security advisers. The statement comes in response to North Korea’s claim that it tested a hydrogen bomb on Sunday. The President responded in a series of Tweets. And in a call with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Trump promised that the U.S. would defend itself, and its allies, “using the full range of diplomatic, conventional and nuclear capabilities at our disposal," according to a White House readout of the call.

Senators and Representatives, djt really needs to stop sending bellicose, incendiary, insulting tweets in response to North Korea's actions. Is there any way to censure him regarding this?

Two hot heads and irrational men do not make me comfortable with what could eventually explode into a catastrophe. Cooler heads need to prevail and find a way to silence North Korea's deranged dictator before he and Trump annihilate us all.

Please stop the Lunatic-in-Chief from the war of words with the other lunatic. I know that Trump wants to improve his ratings and sees war as a means to an end. We will all lose. Stop him!

Someone needs to tell Trump he is fanning the flames for a showdown. Real leaders don't need to boast.

Any one who has ever taught elementary or junior high. Should recognize what is happening. When a bully so harasses his victim the victim has two choices both bad. Most often the victim becomes full of self doubt and is a danger to himself. In some cases the victim arms himself and may take foolish action. it is time for the US to see what type of victim North Korea is and act accordingly!!

Time to allow our military to do what it has been trained to do. We spend billions on our military, I say we use those dollars to good use and show the world that not only do we have a mandate to intervene, so does the rest of the world. There is a famine going on in North Korea, and instead of supplying the people with extra food to cover that, the regime is spending millions on a nuclear program instead. To the world, that is a form of genocide. Send in the military, all other forms of diplomacy have failed.
